"As we've worked on the game, we realized that we could create sets in a novel approach to the ones we've seen during Diablo 3. But, we'd need more time to bring them with a style that would work well with the rest of Diablo IV Gold, so you won't find them in the initial launch in the game," Shely explains. "We think sets are amazing, and we'd like to be sure that they're done right - and that's what we're looking towards for live play."
"There's a staff legend in the demo which turns [the spell] fireball into the triple fireball spell" ex-game director Luis Barriga told Polygon(opens in new tab) in the year 2019. "The different is that the staff legendary cast right now in live Diablo 3 gives you bonuses that are a lot more than the thousands. We're attempting to design this game now to be a little less constrained in order to avoid being caught in that growing power-curve."
If you're not sure with the term "set," Set Items are basically sturdy parts of equipment that give more power when put together. They're 'set' as they provide the exact advantages, and, of course they're part of a set. The first time they were introduced was within Diablo 2, though it was 3 that they became really dominant. It remains to be seen how they will affect their impact on the Diablo 4 meta should they appear, however we have the impression that their influence on the unfurling style scene will be felt.
