We talked to Timothy Gerritsen of Human Head Studios about the studio's upcoming expansion pack, Rune: Halls of Valhalla. According to Gerritsen, the project is complete. Halls of Valhalla can be used either as a stand-alone online multiplayer action game or as an expansion pack to the original Rune. It adds 33 new maps, 15 new characters, and a level editor to the original game, as well as two new multiplayer modes--headball and arena.
According to Human Head, headball is a Viking version of the ancient Aztec ball game that incorporates some basketball elements. Like in basketball, two teams compete to throw objects through hoops, but in headball, the objects thrown are the severed limbs and heads of opponents. Headball mode supports up to four teams.
Arena is a one-on-one duel mode that can also be used to Buy RuneScape gold play two-on-two, three-on-three, and four-on-four matches. Players compete until their character is killed or their team wins. Once a character is killed, that player becomes a spectator for the rest of the match.
