The mighty Broly would be an example of one of these characters. Once transformed, this character proves a formidable opponent for even the strongest of heroes
As difficult as defeating him is, learning how to draw Broly can be just as difficult!
However, this is the right guide if you want to learn how to do it.
We hope you enjoy recreating this evil character in our step by step guide on how to draw Broly in just 6 easy steps!
How To Draw Broly
Step 1
Just like the other characters in the Dragon Ball series, Broly has a fairly detailed design.
This depiction of the character also shows him in his transformed state, meaning he is incredibly muscular.
These aspects can make drawing difficult, but we're going to go slow in this guide!
First, we'll start with her face and a small section of her hair. For her face, you might want to zoom in really close to our sample image to get a good look at the details you want to draw for her facial expression.
Next we're going to use some curved lines to create subtle shapes with sharp points at the ends for her hair.
With these parts drawn as they appear in our reference image, we can proceed to step 2!
Step 2
Many characters in this series have a signature spiky hairstyle, and this is especially true when they transform into Super Saiyans.
That's the case in this picture, so we're going to make his hair even bigger in this second step of your Broly drawing.
To this, add some thinner and spiky shapes that you started in the previous step to make her hairstyle look even bigger.
Then we start drawing his shoulders and chest. In this picture he's insanely muscular to emphasize his powerful transformation. For this reason, draw large, rounded shapes for his various muscles.
Once you've recreated the shoulders and chest as they appear in the reference image, you're ready for step 3.
Step 3
Continuing with this step of our guide on how to draw Broly, we will draw more parts of his arms. In this photo, she's going to raise her fists slightly to give him a power pose.
To draw his arms, just continue drawing more of the rounded muscles you started for his shoulders and chest. Then we also draw in his abs to complete this step.
Step 4
The next step of this Broly drawing might actually turn out to be one of the more complicated steps in the guide.
We're going to draw his pants, and if you're wondering why it's going to be complicated, check out our sample image! His pants are made of many layers of fabric with many folds.
While it may seem intimidating, if you follow the sample image closely, you'll be fine!
First, create the belt she wears with some curved lines. Then you can start drawing the layers of his pants.
Try to focus on one layer at a time as you draw and it will be much easier to get everything right.
Then we can finish the legs and feet in the next step. So if you're ready, let's move on!
Step 5
Now that you have completed one of the more complicated steps of this guide to drawing Broly, you can move on to this easier step which involves drawing his boots.
Unlike pants, which are made up of many layers, boots are made up of a limited number of sections. Draw her chunky boots with slightly more rounded lines, and then you're done and ready for the final step!
Before moving on to the last step, there is one more thing you can add to this design. It might be fun to design a background that shows your favorite scene or moment that Broly was a part of.
Step 6
This is the last step of your Broly drawing and now you can have fun coloring it! In our reference image, we've kept it true to the show by using some red and gold colors for its clothing.
He's shown here in his Super Saiyan form, so we also used a bit of light yellow in his hair to reflect that.
You can use this color scheme for your drawing to ensure accuracy, but feel free to change the colors and shades you choose! We can't wait to see what colors and artistic mediums you'll use to complete this Broly drawing!
