With the prospect of realm consolidation on the horizon in WoW WoTLK Classic Burning Crusade servers WOTLK Classic Gold, players are asking questions about the thinking behind compressing Classic experience.

Today, One of Blizzard's WoW Classic producers today used the game's forums in order to reply to an individual on WoW's community council. WoW community council via an extensive post.

WoW Classic producer Aggrend attempted to address what he could on the spectrum of questions. The majority of his blog being in response to how Blizzard determined which servers would or would not be combined.

"There were several factors that played into the decision-making process to determine which servers were going to be retired, but the main focus was on those who are part of the Daily Average World Population (DAW) that we track within the organization," Aggrend said. "There was a particular threshold we considered and if, over the course of a specific time cheap WOTLK Classic Gold, a realm fell within the DAW threshold and we decided to add that realm on the servers list that needed to be consolidated."
